 We start this page with
 John D Houk the first
 child of Andrew J and
 Mary J in Moniteau Co
 Missouri in the 1850
 census. 
 John grew up in a country
 fighting a civil war and
 was 25 years old when he
 married Susan Foster.
 Because of the gap in the
 census I can find only 1 
 child, William, born a 
 year after they were wed.
 In the 1900 census their
 son, daughter in law and
 grand child were all
 living together and
 confirms that Susan only
 had the one child.
 they lived next to their
 son until Johns death in
 1922. Susan is shown with
 Grandson Andy in 1930.
