Welcome: It appears that John and Maude never had any children. Like others in the Edward Houk family, John and Maude moved to Chico Butte County California from Henry County Missouri. John worked as a farm laborer with his dad and later as a chauffeur driving a hotel bus. In 1920 it is listed as autostage. In 1930 he is listed as a farmer on an orchard. I got her maiden name from the 1920 census since her father was living with them.
