 Welcome:
 
 After years of hitting road
 block afer road block from
 this point back, I  decided
 the best thing for me to do
 was to map every Houk I 
 could find starting in
 Missouri.
 This extensive research
 taught me to be a pro at
 finding the impossible. 

 The death record shows
 that William was born in
 Cooper Co Missouri in
 July 1829 and the
 1830 census shows the
 only Houk family in
 cooper Co. is George Houk
 and there is a male
 child between 1 and 4.
 As hits go I'd say this is a 
 pretty good bet that
 William's father is
 George Houk

For a long time I found very little on william. as a matter of fact what I had, was given to me by the late Betty Lorraine Johnson (nee Houk)
