Marriage Information |
31 Dec 1949 Winsor Henry Co Missouri |
Dora was only 15 when she first married. This coupled with the loss of their first child must have been a very trying time
for the teen wife at the turn of the century.
I have not collected any information on the Dora's second husband.

I could not state Paul's life beter then was expressed by his family.
Paul attended schools in Cahoun, Missouri and Windsor, Missouri and enlisted into the Navy on May 19, 1950.
He served during the Korean War on the USS Henrico until his honorable discharge in February of 1954.
Paul and Naomi made their home in Raytown, MO for all 64 years of their marriage where they raised
their four children. Paul was a member of Connection Point Church in Raytown, MO.
After his military service, Paul worked as an over-the-road truck driver for PIE
(Pacific Intermountain Express)
and then Eastern Express before becoming self-employed as an owner-operator.
Later, he worked as a supervisor for C & B Maintenance in the Northland of Kansas City.
Paul loved being on the road and, once retired, enjoyed traveling and never passed an opportunity
to head out with Naomi to see friends or family.
For many years, they traveled to warmer climates for the winter and regularly attended
the Gospel Music Festival in Osage Beach, Missouri among other events.
Paul loved being outdoors. It didn’t matter if he was mowing, watching baseball, gardening, hosting a garage sale, or simply sitting in the sun. If it was nice enough to be outside, he would be there.
He will be remembered by his ability to brighten up any room with his smile and stories,
for his sense of adventure and daring, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Known by his friends as Hawkeye or PW, Paul was a loyal, kind, hardworking, and funny man
who was willing to help anyone who needed it.
He made a lasting impact on all who knew him and made the world a better place.
I would like to thank Paul and Naomi Houk for providing the Photos.
