Welcome:
 
 After years of hitting road
 block after road block from
 this point back, I  decided
 the best thing for me to do
 was to map every Houk I
 could find starting in
 Missouri. I think we are all
 in agreement that the main
 bulk of the Houk family 
 starts with George Houk and
 his children. 

 In 1850 James is in 
 District no 23 in Cooper Co.
 living with Father George
 mother Catherine & brother
 John 14.

 James Houk was born Nov
 28, 1838, and died July 20,
 1923, being 85 years, 7
 months, 22 days. In 1860
 he was married to Ardena
 Vaughn; They had one child
 William unfortunately his
 mother died in his infancy.
 James did go on to find
 another wife.
